Mud Slides are one ot the globes most dangerous natural hazards, claiming homes, infrastructure and in severe events - life.
 
This website will analyse why they happen, when they happen, where they happen and what we can do to prevent them in the future. 
 
One of the most devastating mud slide events in the UK was the Aberfan Disaster of 1966.  To find out more about what happened at Aberfan that day, check out the dedicated Aberfan page of this site.
